Hotels:-
All major international hotel groups have a presence here in Riyadh and are
mainly located in the city center. All can be booked from outside Kingdom
and most have a meet desk at the airport and can provide transport to the
hotel.

Compounds:-
Most western expatriates live in gated compounds and there is a multitude of
them catering for all tastes and pockets. The compounds usually provide all
furniture, utilities, sporting facilities, restaurants, mini-supermarkets,
school busses and various other facilities depending on the price that you
are prepared to pay. Following the recent terrorist problems most of them
have fairly elaborate security in place.
A selection of the compounds available are :-

Villas:-
For those who don’t fancy living in an enclosed community there are large
numbers of villas for rent, at reasonable rates, throughout the city. The
better ones have any number of rooms that you require, sheltered parking,
reasonable amount of garden and possibly a swimming pool. They don’t tend to
be furnished but it does mean that you can have a house within a reasonable
distance of your work as opposed to driving in from the outskirts of town.
